About

Based in the Allwood section of Clifton, New Jersey, the Woman's Club of Allwood, a non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-based organization, is part of the Liberty District within the NJSFWC.  The NJSFWC of the GFWC is "the largest volunteer women's service organization in the state of New Jersey, providing opportunities in service through participation in local clubs, enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time".
The Woman's Club of Allwood is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes the making of distributions to organizations under Section 501(c)3 of the Federal Revenue Code.
Previously, the Woman's Club of Allwood hosted General Meetings on the first Monday of each month at the Allwood Community Church Hall in Clifton, New Jersey. We now meet the the Allwood Branch of the Clifton Public Library in the Allwood section of Clifton. Prospective members and guests are always welcome to JOIN US at any time.

GFWC

The Woman’s Club of Allwood is a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs(NJSFWC) and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), the oldest and largest women’s volunteer, service organization in the world.

The NJSFWC, founded in 1894, has over 9,000 members in 203 clubs throughout the State. In 1918, the NJSFWC founded the New Jersey College for Women in 1918 (now Douglass Residential College).
